Tapestries of English Garden, Part 2

‘Nestled in the idyllic South Downs National Park of West Sussex, my garden blooms with vibrant arrays of flowers. Inspired by the serene beauty of my English garden, I aim to capture the essence of daisies, sunflowers, dahlias, gladioli, and nature through vivid colours, rich textures and expressive light. Each painting immerses you in the splendour of an English summer day, evoking the sensation of walking and breathing among these floral jewels. I worked with oil and palette knife on the canvas creating deep textures to bring my Tapestries to life. This piece is one part of a diptych entitled: Tapestries of the English Garden Part 1 & Part 2 which were created as a pair to celebrate the exquisite flora of my garden. I believe that flowers are nature’s true treasures, and I strive to convey their enchanting beauty in every piece.’ Mariya Dykalo
