My Denny Horse 2005, print

This limited-edition artwork faithfully reproduces Mariya Dykalo’s original hand-painted composition, preserving its expressive colour, texture and emotional depth. My Denny Horse is a tender tribute to the artist’s first years in England and to Denny, her first horse with whom she began riding in 2004.

Painted through memory, the work evokes the scent of the stables, the rhythm of the saddle and the transformation of early fear into trust. It captures the tenderness of a first bond, the courage of beginning again and the unspoken connection between human and animal.
