The first signature handbag by Mariya Dykalo, The Cosmic Crescent Bag has been artistically reimagined using repurposed silk featuring the artist’s original Kaleidoscope artwork, printed at the Glasgow School of Art.
Inspired by celestial geometry, Art Deco ornamentation and the mesmerising symmetry of a traditional kaleidoscope, the hand-painted design features a rich palette of midnight blue, antique gold and silver. Constellations, precious jewels, pearls and Tudor rose detailing come together to evoke distant, imagined worlds.
The silk has been individually folded, sculpted and hand-stitched by Mariya around the reimagined form, transforming the bag into a unique expression of sculptural, wearable art. A curved leather handle with a metallic, grosgrain-inspired texture complements its distinctive crescent silhouette. Celebrating creativity, transformation and conscious luxury, The Cosmic Crescent Bag gives new life to existing materials through the artist’s hand.
