Description
Created collaboratively with displaced Ukrainian children at St Mary’s School, We Can Dream Again emerged from art-led sessions exploring their fears, hopes and ambitions. Their drawings reveal dreams of becoming footballers, Olympic gymnasts, musicians and designers, alongside their deepest wish: peace in Ukraine and reunion with their families, homes and beloved pets.
Presented as a collage against a blue planet and yellow orb—reflecting the colours of the Ukrainian flag—the artwork unites their individual aspirations with a shared hope for safety, belonging and childhood restored. Taking its title from the school’s motto, the piece honours the resilience of Ukrainian children and their enduring courage to dream.
