Kaleidoscope 2023, print

Kaleidoscope Limited-Edition Print reproduces Mariya Dykalo’s original hand-painted composition on museum-grade archival paper, preserving the luminous depth and intricate detail of the work. Radiating with deep royal blues, silver, and gold, the composition unfolds through hypnotic mirrored patterns inspired by the nineteenth-century optical instrument from which the series takes its name — a device created “to view a beautiful form.” Originally conceived as part of The Kaleidoscope Collection in partnership with womenswear designer Laura Green, the work emerged through a unique collaboration with printmakers at the Glasgow School of Art, bringing together fine art, textile design, and contemporary craftsmanship.
